Hearing test crashes when I start the test
iPad, iPadOS 18
I am having the same issue. New Air Pod Pro 2’s and iPad newly updated to 18.1. AirPods are fully charged and work fine as EarPods, but I’m sent back to the home page when I get to the point of starting the hearing test. I’ve rebooted several times, but no luck. I bought these mainly for the hearing aid feature, so any ideas?

test runs fine on new iPhone 16pro, btw.
very disappointed.. bought AirPods exclusively for my 91 yo mom as hearing aids. Going thru the crashing hearing test repeatedly with a 91 yo woman was frustrating to say the least. Thanks apple.

This seems like a major issue.
I bought AirPods Pro II for the express purpose of using them as hearing aides.
Now I cannot....
And there does not seem to be anyone here or at Apple who is interested in helping resolve the problem.
Or is it just me?
Yep, same. Bought them for my 84 year old mom, so I feel your pain.
Hoping they will update via firmware sooner than later to fix this, as I’m sure u are.
i do believe they will correct it, fwiw.
