iCloud backup error with no explanation on iPad and iPhone

I have 6TB of iCloud data storage available. I am only using 500GB of it. It is shared by my IPAD and IPHONE. It is turned on. When i try to back up my data to the iCloud, i continue to get an error message with no explanation. This has been happening for several months and i am very frustrated. How do i get this resolved?

Assuming no add-on VPNs, no add-on security apps, or similar, and no possibly-corrupt current backup, contact Apple Support.


If you have any of those add-ons, remove all, restart, and check again.


If you have an existing possibly-corrupt backup, remove it, restart, and try again.


Otherwise, those at Apple have a view into iCloud that no one else does.
