Why is my Time Machine Capsule blinking amber?

I have a new desktop and my Time Machine will not come up on screen anywhere. It is old 2011. New desktop doesn’t see it or can’t find it. I’ve tried direct hook up and wifi. Time Machine keeps blinking amber.

Thanks Don

Temporarily, turn off the Wi-Fi on the desktop and connect an Ethernet cable from the desktop to one of the 3 LAN <--> Ethernet ports on the Time Capsule.

Power off and restart the Time Capsule.

Open AirPort Utility on your desktop Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility

If the Time Capsule appears, click on the picture of the Time Capsule

When the smaller window appears, look for the Status setting and click on the small amber dot there and another message will appear to explain the blinking amber light
