How to send my apple wallet electronic suica card to a friend.

I have added too much money to electronic Suica while traveling to Japan and now it's stuck in there.

Please implement a way to transfer to send my card to a friend. Most people do that with physical card and if

there is no way to get my money back, at least I need to have a way to give it to someone who lives in Japan.

I'm trying to find someone in Apple pay who can implement this missing feature in future iOS releases. Hopefully that overlooked need will be in place soon.

Apple does not control the transit cards when they are added to Apple Wallet. Many (most?) transit companies do not permit the transfer of their cards to another account/user. You’ll need to check with Suica support team to confirm the ability to transfer their cards.

Suica is an independent business and sets their own policies on the use of their cards. Here is a link to the Apple Support article on transferring some Transit Cards.

My understanding is that a Suica card can only be transferred to another device that is logged into the same Apple ID/Apple Account. You can receive a refund, less handling fees, if returned to JR-East.
