So I recently bought an old iMac and when i went to erase it and reinstall the mac OS it keeps giving me the error of “use the purchases page to try again” which i cannot access because it is now stuck in recovery mode. Any idea how to fix this?
You need to provide MUCH more detail than you have, please tell us the method you are using to install Mac OS and where you got the copy of Mac OS you are attempting to install.
If the computer is in the Recovery Partition, then you should be able to erase and install Mac OS from there assuming the HD is in good physical condition. However without more details all we can do is guess.
