iPhone 16 missing photos filters

Buyer beware. Previously, I’ve loved my iPhone camera and couldn’t wait for my iPhone 16 Pro Max. I was very disappointed today to realize that photo filters have been replaced with photo styles. Sorry, but muted B&W and stark B&W are not substitutes for silvertone and noir.

Apple, if you’re going to make a new feature, at least give your paying customers the option to keep an older, still beloved, feature.

Still functional? Yes! Still works with HEIC photos taken before upgrading. Still works with new Pro Raw photos. Clearly this is a choice. Please choose to bring it back!
