Apple Pencil will not connect to my iPad Air 5th Gen

I just bought a new apple pencil pro for my ipad air 5th generation and it will not connect. I’ve tried powering off the ipad, forgetting it from bluetooth, and just leaving it to charge but it still won’t connect.

Apple Pencil is not connecting to my iPad Apple Pencil will not connect with my ipad, the apple pencil sign will show up at the tp of my screen when on the charging spot however without a percentage and it doesnt show up when on bluetooth in my settings. I have restarted, reset, and done all the trouble shooting suggested. It is less than 2 years old, always charged and just isnt connecting. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

The Apple Pencil Pro is not compatible with the 5th generation iPad Air. The complete list of compatible devices/pencils can be found below.
