Which iPhone do you have?

If your iPhone is compatible with iOS 18, you might be offered an update to it – bypassing iOS 17. If it is compatible neither with iOS 17 or with iOS 18, it will not offer you an update to either.

Updating an iPhone:

If compatible, you can move forward using a computer, or Cellular (for iPhone 12 with 5G or later). Updating using a computer, you can connect through Ethernet, if WiFi or Cellular is giving you issues. See my User Tip: Update your iPhone Using a Computer - User Tip
