Request for Activation Lock Removal - Proof of Purchase from Souq.com Unavailable
Hello everyone,
I’m hoping someone here might have advice for an Activation Lock issue I’m facing with my Apple Watch. I purchased an Apple Watch (Series 1, 42mm Gold Aluminum Case with Cocoa Sport Band) back in May 2017 from Souq.com, an online retailer that used to operate in Saudi Arabia but has since been acquired and rebranded as Amazon.sa.
The Problem:
• I’m currently locked out of my Apple Watch due to Activation Lock, and Apple Support has requested proof of purchase.
• The purchase was Cash on Delivery (COD), so I don’t have a bank or credit card record of the transaction.
• Souq.com no longer exists, and Amazon.sa couldn’t retrieve any past order details from the old Souq.com system.
I still have the original order confirmation email from Souq.com, showing the purchase details, but Apple Support is asking for additional proof that I’m unable to provide.
Request for Help:
Has anyone else dealt with a similar situation or has advice on what I might be able to do? Is there any alternative documentation that Apple might accept, or any way to work around this issue?
Any guidance or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
