Payment Not Accepted for iPhone 16 Pro Max Purchase in Japan

Dear Apple Support Team,

I attempted to purchase the iPhone 16 Pro Max on the Japan Apple Store using my Indian ICICI credit card. However, my payment was not accepted, and I received the message “Your payment was not accepted. Please try again later.”

I would appreciate any assistance or guidance on resolving this issue so I can complete my purchase.

Thank you.

iPhone 14 Plus, iOS 18

Dear kilted Tim ,
I used Japan's debit card for this order but the same issue is occurring.

Are you hoping the Apple Store from Japan, will ship a phone to you in India? If yes, Apple won't do that either. You'd have to have a Japan address for them to ship the phone to, in addition to using a valid payment method issued in Japan.

If you are in India, why do you want a phone from Japan? A phone from Japan, used in India, won't have warranty in India. If you are in India, you should buy your phone in India.
