Please can you tell me what model iPhone I need to utilise AirPods with the hearing aid function? Also what type of AirPod supports this function?

You'll need an iPhone model that can run iOS 18, so that means an iPhone XR/XS or up. And you'll need the AirPods Pro second generation for the new hearing aid function to work.

I don't quite understand XR/XS? Would I need a very recent model... 12, 13, 14 etc? Sorry for being a bit lacking in the tech area. I'm thinking of getting a reconditioned iPhone and I want to get the right one. Is there one you recommend? I can't afford the latest one.
