M2 iPad Pro - Why is my resolution locked at 1080p when using a 1440p monitor for Stage Manager?

I am currently running Stage Manager on my LG QHD display with HDR using my M2 iPad Pro. All features are working as they should but my monitor always shows me a pop up window when I establish connection.

Looks like this:

The screen is not currently set to the recommended resolution.

Configure the PC resolution to 2560x1440.

(The 2560x1440 resolution may not be supported on some PCs.)

Current resolution: 1920x1080

Recommended resolution: 2560x1440

However, I thought that Stage Manager supports up to 6K resolution. What might be the problem in my case? Could it be an iPad compatibility issue? Or my type c hub/adapter (Satechi V2)? Or my monitor? Really not sure as I’ve been wanting to upgrade my setup but if my resolution is stuck at 1080p, it wouldn’t be worth spending on a brand new 4K monitor. Thank you

The M2 iPad Pro appears to support "one external display with up to 6K resolution at 60 Hz". My assumption is that this means "up to 6K over Thunderbolt 3 or up to 4K over USB-C (DisplayPort)."

The description of this Satechi "Slim Aluminum Type-C Multi-Port Adapter V2" claims that it has "1 x HDMI port - up to 4K 60Hz."

One thing that you might want to check is that the "Mirror Display" switch is turned off. It sounds as though there is a "basic" version of Stage Manager for older iPads that only works with display mirroring, and a more advanced one for iPads like yours that have M-series chips. I'm not certain, but the ability to use high-resolution external displays might be tied to using Stage Manager with the "Mirror Display" option switched off.
