What is the best EMF reducing sticker or system/product?

More and more information is coming out about the harms of EMF coming from our phones. I found out that the iPhone 12 is actually banned in other countries because of how much radiation it puts out, and Apple has a warning not to sleep with your phone near you while it’s charging. It doesn’t say why it says it’s risk or dangerous but it doesn’t tell you what the risk or dangerous but it’s the fact that it’s microwaving you slowly at night

I do not understand why they don’t sell EMF reducing/protection stickers in the accessory areas of phone stores! Next to the phone cases. The one I’ve heard of is the one that the UFC just entered in a contract with to promote, but they’re like two or 300 per sticker

Does anyone have any information about what is the best way to reduce these frequencies? I don’t wanna get ripped off by company that doesn’t do it it promises.

iPhone 13, iOS 17

Excellent link from Zurarczurx,

>>Time to take off the tin foil hat: A review of 28 years of research into the health effects of radio wave exposure from cellphones has found no evidence to link the handhelds to brain cancer, or negative effects on health more generally.

The findings, published recently in Environment International and commissioned and partially funded by the World Health Organization (WHO), looked at 63 studies published between 1994 and 2022 from 22 countries.

Various types of brain and head cancers in adults and children, as well as whole-body exposure from proximity to broadcast antenna and base stations and occupational radio frequency/electromagnetic field (RF-EMF), were looked at as part of the meta-study. In no case did the researchers find a link between radio wave exposure from mobile and wireless devices and brain cancer. Note that RF-EMF is part of the non-ionizing radiation region of the electromagnetic spectrum, making it inherently and substantially less dangerous than ionizing radiation.<<

WOW, just 2 months ago. This more realistically establishes facts and the innuendo and misleading posts can slowly fade away.

It was not banned in other countries, there was an issue with the way France was reading EMF levels, this has been fixed.

Apple never put out a warning not to sleep with it near you, they put out a warning saying not to have it in bed while charging because of possible overheating issues if get gets wrapped up in the blankets or stuck under a pillow.

Those EMF shields are a complete scam, they would have to be put on the side of the phone that faces your head to block EMF from your brain, that would mean covering the front screen.

Do yourself a favor and read up on non-ionizing radiation which is what your phone puts out

Thanks for your opinion.

You are entitled to your opinions, but not facts. As you apparently didn’t read any of the thread you posted to where the original poster DID receive a CORRECT answer, I will repeat it:

And there is no such thing as a “frequency doctor”.

And, as cell phone signals are EMF, if a device didn’t radiate EMF it couldn’t be a cell phone.

If your opinion is that EMF radiation is valid, then you should never use any cell phone, any TV (they radiate EMF also), no modern kitchen appliances, especially microwave ovens, and you should not live anywhere but an extremely rural area with no electricity or radio stations.

If a person is worried about the potential dangers of overexposure to RF radiation, which they have every right to be, and whether the fear is based in fact or not, follow these tips for reducing your exposure:

-Never speak on your cell phone with it directly up against your head. Use speakerphone or wired earbuds.

-Avoid bluetooth accessories. Use wired earbuds, wired mice and keyboards, and turn off bluetooth on your computer/s.

-If you must wear a smartwatch or other health device that uses bluetooth, use it in airplane mode, which turns off bluetooth but still allows for health metrics to be recorded. You can turn on bluetooth to transfer data to your phone if needed.

-Try not to use Wifi in your home. You can run ethernet to your computers and turn off Wifi on your computers. Wifi can also be disabled on most routers once you're hardwired.

-Try to eliminate as many electronics from your bedroom at night. This includes alarm clocks, smart speakers, TV's, etc. If you can eliminate RF from where you sleep, that's 1/3rd of your day without RF exposure. You can put your phone in airplane mode and keep it across the room from you for alarm purposes.

-You can also keep your phone in airplane mode when not in active use, only turning it on to make calls, check messages, etc.

For the cliff notes, you can also refer to Apple's own Legal and Regulatory language found in the iPhone's settings. Settings>General>Legal and Regulatory>RF Exposure:

"To reduce exposure to RF energy, use a hands-free option, such as the built-in speakerphone, headphones, or other similar accessories".

For whatever reason, Apple was compelled to provide this advice.

As the subject interests me (as it does you), I have done some research. For example, here is the incidence of brain cancers since 1992 from a reliable source (the National Cancer Institute, https://seer.cancer.gov/statfacts/html/brain.html:

The first practical handheld cell phones became available around 1990, so we have 3 decades of data. You would think that if there was a link the rate of brain cancer would have increased from the time cell phones became ubiquitous. However the rate of new cancers and cancer deaths has DECREASED since cell phones became widely available.

Perhaps this means that cell phones prevent cancer. What do you think?

No one is being rude to you. What people are suggesting is you have nothing to be legitimately concerned about. Stedman at the beginning of this thread, suggested if you are concerned about radiation, that when you go outside, you are exposed to significantly higher levels from the sun naturally and he is right.

This is taken from a Google Search:

"Based on the provided search results, there is no conclusive evidence to pinpoint a specific number of confirmed cases of brain cancer caused by cell phone use. The available studies and reviews suggest that the scientific consensus is that there is no definitive link between cell phone use and an increased risk of brain cancer.

The World Health Organization-commissioned review (published on September 4, 2024) states that “there is no link between mobile phone use and an increased risk of brain cancer.” Similarly, the National Cancer Institute’s fact sheet and the review of over 60 studies commissioned by WHO found no evidence of a link between cell phone use and brain cancer."

To your original question, about EMF reducing stickers, they are for lack of a better word 'Hooey.' They will do nothing for you, and others have pointed out that you'd need to place them on the screen, even if they could magically reduce radiation, which would render your screen pretty much unusable. Thus, we cannot recommend any such sticker.

If you are still concerned, and I'm not being rude here, then you should stop using cell phones and stay indoors as much as possible to avoid being exposed to radiation.

Nov 1, 2024 10:40 AM in response to GreatAbz

I think you meant to direct that at me, not Stedman1.

I'm not being rude, I'm being factual.

Your original post asked about what shields were the best. None of them are, they are snake oil. The only way to shield EMF from the phone to your brain would be to put the shield between you and your phone. That would involve putting the shield over the screen of the phone, which they don't.

Any sticker that blocked radio wave transmissions would interfere with your phone's ability to

  • Place and receive cellular phone calls
  • Send and receive cellular data
  • Send and receive data over Wi-Fi
  • Connect to Bluetooth accessories
  • Listen to signals from GPS satellites to determine its location

This might lead to you complaining about your phone's poor reception.

It might also have unintended consequences. If the phone boosted its radio transmit power (in an attempt to make up for bad signal reception), this might result in there being larger EMF emissions from every surface of the phone that was not covered by the sticker. (Such as the display – the surface that's often pointed at you.)

You are not the problem; you asked a valid question, and got valid answers from Servant of Cats, Kilted Tim, LobsterGhost1, and several others.

In summary: many years of studies from properly trained researchers (not quacks) and data from millions of cell phone users have found no correlation between cell phone use and any negative medical results.

Radiation does NOT have to cause some sort of harm. And non-ionizing radiation is ESSENTIAL for any radio device to work; it is called “radio waves” for a reason.

Finally, if you truly believe that radio waves cause harm you should not use ANY cell phone or modern appliance, any you should move to an isolated location with no electricity, no internet, no TV, and certainly no cell phone.

Pick up your iPhone. Go go to 'Settings', then 'General', then scroll down and click on 'Legal & Regulatory'. Then, 'RF Exposure'. Taken from that information:

"To reduce exposure to RF energy, use a hands-free option, such as the built-in speakerphone, headphones, or other similar accessories".

If it were safe, why would Apple make this suggestion?

The giant fusion reactor's thermal radiation is pretty important to human life.
But it is well known that excessive exposure to that radiation from the Sun DOES have significant health risks, including eye damage, 1st degree skin burns, premature aging, and several cancers, one of them (melanoma) which is frequently fatal. It is UV radiation, which is well above the frequencies used by cell phones.

Indeed. I didn't include my usual rant that, if you really want to worry about radiation. worry about UV radiation. It's not good if I go very far down this rabbit hole.

Please also note that the article you refer to is from 2008 and was about a meta-analysis done of very minimal and preliminary research of the issue. The authors did not conduct any research themselves nor did they apparently attempt to confirm the validity of the research they analized. They just compiled and reported information from other research. There has been a lot of further research done since and a definitive link still has not been found between cell phone use and the incidence of brain cancer. That doesn't mean that a link doesn't exist, but none has been found to be verifiable (a difficult proposition at best given the many variables involved). For more current information, start here:

https://www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/causes-prevention/risk/radiation/cell-phones-fact-sheet

It's up to you what risks you wish to take, as it is for all of us. But as has been said, there is no way to screen a cellphone's radiation and still have the phone be usable.

Regards.

Um.. no. He's a chiropractor. He is not "the leading frequency doctor" in the US or anywhere else. He's a quack. His endorsement is completely worthless.

But chiropractors are real doctors! Okay, so chiropractic schools don't necessarily require an undergraduate degree. And they don't teach as much science as medical school. And they don't have to do the three-six year residency. But other than that, they're just the same! ;-)

But of course, there is also no such thing as a "frequency doctor."

But......but.......I read it on the internet, so it 'must' be true!
