Issue with iPad Software Update Interrupted by Automation

Hi, I am updating to version 17.7.1. When the iPad was on the Apple black loading screen, an automation shortcut interrupted the update, causing it to return to the unlock-with-password screen. However, when I checked the software update page, it said the software was up to date. I wonder if I can re-update?

Hi, I believe the update installed properly if you see the right version in Settings > General > Software Update.

You could force a reinstall of iPadOS using a Mac or PC Windows, though. The procedure is described in the section “If your iPad turns on but gets stuck during startup” of this article: If your iPad won't turn on or is frozen - Apple Support.
