Recovering iCloud access after being hacked

OK, so I have an I 14+ and so does my husband and daughter and our home our phones were hacked. Mine was the worst it was cloaked and pretty much all taken over. I’m not gonna go into too much detail. There were a few good people that helped me out that knew about it and got me to you guys and got me my passwords back from the bad people. I just wanna give them credit but how do I use the key to get into my iCloud because they have find my iPhone on, thank God because they were protecting my things while I was hacked and my Wi-Fi still isn’t working for my TV and my TV still isn’t working the Roku device if you guys know anything about that but that’s OK if you don’t. What do I need to do to get back into my Apple ID, they said it was a pass key, how do I use that? Thank you so very much for your help.

There’s plenty of ways to go about this I would first reset all my passwords starting with your Apple ID/iCloud than check and see if you had everything backed up than I would go to keychain and see the furthest backup and than do a reset than restore from the furthest backup (or just manually reinstall all apps after you change all your password and verification methods) you definitely should find out what type of “hacked” you were involved in it’s alway good to identify where the threat is coming from also for what reasons were you hacked. Is your software compromised? You don’t want it to keep happening over and over again after that definitely encrypt all your devices if possible change your recovery keys also take off access iCloud from the web if you have family share on maybe separate accounts for each family member temporarily turn your advanced Data protection on make sure private relay is on for each device also if your WiFi provider doesn’t come with a vpn definitely look into protecting your data via VPN only download apps your using that’s just a start use biometrics if possible your passkey maybe saved on your device via biometrics which than it’s either encrypted with one of your apple devices always do two way verification look into getting an external passkey nfc for upgrading your device in the future or via lightning I would personally not use nfc. Hopefully you had keychain on on your Mac if not after you update all passwords turn keychain on than do a backup make sure to keep your security updates updated good luck
