When I try to edit photos in the photos app of my naturist pictures to remove blemishes a pop up says safe filter applied and the area is blurred but with huge pixels. I’ve tried turning off the relevant security features but to no avail.
is there any way to disable this annoying feature?

There is none. Safety Filter is something applied by the included (free) Photos app and that app is written by Apple. They'll need to develop a less sensitive filter.
Until they choose to, your best option would be to use photo editor from a less stodgy company that allows edits deemed "unsafe".
I need to correct myself. The AppleCare Specialist did not say the released version is really a beta. Im sure there are a lot of quirks that need to be ironed up in future updates.
Not that I’m a supporter of this, but Apple is most likely restricting what their software processes. That’s probably part of the software license. Just a guess though.
Where are you getting the advice from? I can see other people saying they have same problem but I can’t see an answer other that use third party software?

Yea but if you cover up the item and use the clean up function, you can’t go back and uncover the item.

But it still doesn’t work on the iPad which still applies the safety filter. Come on Apple please sort this out
