Why is my MacBook update taking longer than expected?

I am trying to update my MacBook to Big Sur 11.2 but it says it’s gonna take 2 hours but it only took 15 minutes and then it still has that remaining few minutes in the bar to fill.

Updating Ventura Took 4 Hours! I just updated Ventura to 13.5.2 and it took four hours! This is insane. I have an excellent internet connection - I'm at work. It doesn't matter if I continue to work during the update or not - it still takes a ridiculous amount of time. I missed an important company webinar because of this. Mac has become just as bad as Windows. I so miss Steve Jobs. I did a Google search and apparently a lot of people have asked the same question - why does it take SOOO LONG to update Mac?!
