I forgot my iPhone 8 password I do not know what to do I did I know you can reset it but I have a lot of info in there and I haven’t looked at it in like three years and I have a lot of photos from when I was really young and I cannot delete them and I do not have anything backed up

Unfortunately, you’ve joined those people that have learned about data loss and the need for backups.
Too many of us learn that lesson the hard way. By losing data.
Whether drop, dunk, fire, failure, loss, theft, or (here) forgotten credentials.
You’ll need to remember that passcode, as that passcode is the key used to decrypt the data.
No passcode, no decryption, no data. And a passcode reset will erase the data.
Reset with Mac or PC:
Without:
This will clear the device and its contents, if the device passcode was forgotten.
This will not clear Activation Lock, if that is what you are encountering.
