if I delete one character in an email, the whole email is deleted
MacBook Air, macOS 14.3
Thank you Mr Hoffman -it happens with draft emails too - If I try even a very basic, one-character edit, the whole draft disappears; and eg incoming messages get filed in deleted or other folders.
Your advice wld be very welcome!

Well, as a first step, if you’re really on macOS 14.3, I’d update that to macOS 14.7.1, and check again.
The Jacarandas in Sydney are quite striking, this time of year.
