I toggled "set automatically" on and off. No change. Manually set clock back one hour. Dabbled automatically" back on the clock changed one hour ahead to be incorrect time. Time zone is New York. This is happening on multiple devices which are all properly updated to 18.1.
We both just returned from the trip overseas a couple days ago so maybe the phone is still confused? Location settings are on. Time zone is correct.
Any suggestions?

And all of my devices (Watches, Mac Studio, HomePod, iPhones) switched properly without issue so I don’t how you are coming to the conclusion that iOS 18.1 is a failure and everyone is having the same problem. We are not. So have you simply tried restarting your iPhone?

Every Apple device I own, (2 Apple Watches, 2 iPads, iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max, MacBook Pro) all changed as expected they would. I have no clue if you have some setting differently, which prevented your phone from changing? Perhaps try a simple Forced Restart --> Force restart iPhone - Apple Support
