Mail not working after updating my iPhone 14 Pro to iOS 18

Ever since I have updated my iPhone 14 Pro Max to iOS 18, the Mail app will no longer retrieve emails unless I open the app and manually refresh the email messages. In addition, I no longer receive badge app icons or notifications for any emails. I have contacted Apple regarding this issue several times and was told that the update should fix the issue. However, after updating to 18.1, I am still having the same problem. I have reset notifications, restarted the phone, deleted both my Yahoo and Gmail accounts but nothing is working. I rely on my emails for both personal and business so this has become a huge issue over the past couple of months. Any suggestions to get this fixed would be greatly appreciated.

It is Dec 3rd & my iPhone email won't receive. Sends fine... but after upgrade, won't receive. So WHEN will patch be issued?

I had the same issue when I updated to 18.2 - I restarted the phone and it worked. I have the 16+ Pro max!

we have family sharing. can't access private relay on my iphone13. found it, but i think b/c family cloud, can't adjust.

oh ok. Might have to get the person in your family who setup sharing to do it on their device.

In any mail inbox: Tap ⋯⃝ in the upper right. Then tap List View. Do this for each account where you don’t want the Mail app to sort your mail into categories.

No "message list heading" setting on my iPhone 13 ProMax. Perhaps that's only available on later versions of the iPhone. TY for trying to help.

No it’s not a setting called that, it’s just that the ‘show contact photos’ option is under the section entitled ’message list’ on that settings page. It’s on my iphone 13 mini
