My Apple Watch keeps asking me to sign in with Apple ID password

I turn my iWatch 8 off every night while sleeping to save wear & tear on the battery.

In the morning when I turn it on and enter my PIN, it always asks for my Apple ID password.

I have big, clunky fingers and a long, involved password and this is getting very, very annoying!

Is there a way that my iWatch can remember my password so that I don't have to re-enter it all the time?

If you recently upgraded to watchOS 11, did your watch also ask for the Apple Account password in the previous watchOS 10?

Did you try to use your iPhone to unlock your watch after restarting it in the morning?

You can type the Apple Account password on the keyboard on your iPhone.

Make sure that on your iPhone in Settings/Notifications/Apple Watch keyboard is enabled.

Then bring your iPhone near the Apple Watch. When the watch asks for the Apple Account password, you should get a message on your iPhone, asking, if you want to use the iOS keyboard to type the password and send it to the Apple Watch.

You do not have to switch off your watch during the night, the charging will stop automatically, depending on your settings for Optimized Charging either at 80% or 100%:
