No. Like most anything else, it’ll have advantages, and it’ll have disadvantages and tradeoffs.

If you want a simpler experience than macOS, an iPad can be a choice. That if your necessary apps and services are all available on iPad.
Apple Intelligence is a non-issue for an iMac 21.5” configuration (per the footer) too, as Apple Intelligence doesn’t support that. So not a concern at least until you decide to replace that iMac with a model supported by Apple Intelligence. Which might be a year or two for you, and maybe after some of the AI hype storm blows over.
