Do I need to pay for shipping or anything for my Trade-in Macbook Air if I'm getting a new one and giving this for credit?

I'm buying a new Macbook Air M3 and wanted to hand in my 2018 Macbook Pro for trade-in credit. I wanted to know if I need to pay for the shipping for trade-in or just hand it to FedEX, UPS or USPS?

I bought it in India and currently live in the United States. Does that create a problem?

Also, if I'm giving this for trade-in credit and paying through Apple Card, how will I get my trade-in credit and what benefits do i get for paying it monthly.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 15.0

Yes, trying to trade in a Mac purchased in another country may well present a problem. Talk to the Apple Store and ask if they will accept it. They may well refuse.

If they do accept the trade-in, Apple will pay the shipping costs to send the trade-in to them. The trade-in value is credited to the payment method you use to buy the new product.
