Apple Watch Ultra 2 charging issues on update 11.1

After updating the Ultra 2 to OS 11.1 the watch either doesn't charge or stops at 80% I have tried removing and placing back on charger and also have forced the watch to turn off and restart again. The problem still persists. Also, the watch doesn't hold the charge as long as it used to. This is not an old watch so am confused with the battery issues. I only use it for exercise recording in health app. I don't use any third party apps on watch.

You seem to have the "Optimized Charge Limit" enabled in the settings for Battery on your watch.


You can disable this feature and charge your watch to 100% each time you put it on the charger.

Unpairing my Ultra 2 brought back the battery life to normal after the latest watchOS update.
