HP p1005 laserjet printer driver install problem
After doing a clean install on Macos Sequoia, I could not install the HP Laserjet p1005 driver no matter what I did. However, I found a solution later. Those who have problems with other printers may find a solution with this method.
1- Download ‘HP 5.1.1 Printer Software Update’ from this address.
2- Double click on the .dmg file you downloaded.
3- Extract the HewlettPackardPrinterDrivers.pkg file to a suitable location.
4- Download Pacifist application.
5- Open Pacifist and select the HewlettPackardPrinterDrivers.pkg file in the driver package you linked using the ‘Open Package’ option.
6- Select not ‘HewlettPackardPrinterDrivers.pkg’ as in the picture, but a sub-root (1) from the programme. ‘28.10.2021, 22:34’ version is installed when install (2) is pressed.
7- Afterwards, adding a printer can be done through the normal system.
I haven't tried it, but I think it will be in the brand and model printers here.
I was able to install and use it on Macos Sequoia version 15.0.1.
