Ongoing Calls on Lockscreen: is there a way to change this UI?

The ui is so counterintuitive and messily built when the phone is locked during an ongoing call. Having to swipe multiple times and wait for face id to finally trigger and then swipe again… very annoying.

Is there a way to change this without jailbreaking? I would much rather have a window on the lock screen with the ongoing call than have the entire screen be replaced and locked behind additional swipes.
