I checked on iCloud and my notes are not on there. I can only see my notes from 2 years ago. The turning iCloud sync on and off for notes did not work. Can anyone give me advice please give me advice on what to try next? I really appreciate the previous help on this chat.

I updated my phone last night. I lost notes for October, November, and December. I tried all steps suggested. My iCloud was on for notes and stays on, but for some reason I cannot retrieve the notes. This happened with my iPhone 7 I lost almost all of my notes back then and I thought they would make sure this would not happen again in 2024. There is no way a phone update should wipe out all your notes from your phone.

have tried all the tricks, nothing has worked. I recently deleted my college email off my phone, figuring that might be why my notes are gone which doesn’t really make sense but called them to have them reactivate my account to log back in and see if my notes come back.

Do not press delete because I did and I don’t know how to get my notes back now. I followed the directions given to a T and now I can’t access my notes on my current phone. I can only access them on my old phone. I genuinely don’t know what to do to get them back and I’m frustrated.

When my phone got behind on updates my notes completely disappeared from my phone. I thought I needed wifi to update so I ignored that and continued using the app on a new slate. However, every time I’d exit on the note I was in it would automatically delete and I couldn’t recover it. Today I decided to update my phone because on top of that being annoying I had important notes that I didn’t have access to. The great thing is it worked and I got all 300 notes back, the bad thing is all my notes from 2025 have completely disappeared. My iCloud was synced the entire time, deleting the app still only brings back my 2024 notes, and I once again had important things I typed the beginning of this year. Does anyone know if there’s a fix? I prewrote a letter to my mother that I don’t remember at all, it’s my own fault for not thinking there would be another mishap.

just today when the iOS was downloaded and updated all my noted disappeared. My notes from iCloud were retained, but the notes I had using my iPhone 14 pro max all got disappeared. I know I always turn on my iCloud but I didn’t what happened.

This is incredibly frustrating. I’ve lost over 300 important notes. I reached out to Apple support, but they couldn’t do anything and told me there’s no way to recover them. It’s heartbreaking to lose all the songs and poems I’ve written in my free time over the past few years. They were just gone suddenly, without any explanation. I’m feeling really upset about this.

hi, my notes that were stored on icloud are back but the ones that were stored only on my iphone are not back even after i tried this... did they immediately show up for you or you had to wait a while?

I have the same issue, except one thing, my files were saved on my phone not iCloud. My notes disappeared as well. I lost over 100 notes (user names, passwords, medical information, good products, good bible readings, needed items, etc.

I hope I can get them back.

Me too! I restarted my iPhone but they did not come back.
