Notes from my iPhone disappeared post accepting new iCloud Terms and Condition.

This is exactly my issue as well, and I’m seeing everybody else saying they got theirs back but it’s not working for me! Have you figured it out? I tried to speak with customer support multiple times the past 3 days and they have been completely useless. And I have 0 “On My iPhone” notes. There are incredibly important documents on my notes, as I’m sure is the case for everybody, and this needs to be fixed immediately. There should be no reason that they have just disappeared into thin air.

I tried this but got a message asking if I was sure I wanted to unsync. Saying if I did my date would be lost. So I didn’t complete the step. I don’t want to lose the previous info just in case. Any one else get this?

the same has happened to me unfortunately. i tried to do the steps everyone is suggesting in the comments but it downloaded only 5 notes with the newest date 2022 and now it is still downloading. very dissapointed. Apple go and fix this!!!

I don’t see this option. I have iPhone 11 Pro.

Yep this notes not syncing has been an issue since I updated to iOS 18.

I can see my notes on iCloud.com. But not syncing to my phone.

definitely don’t want to toggle iCloud notes toggle off due to notice that all my notes will be deleted.

I HAVE AN IPHONE 13 PRO MAX AND I DONT HAVE AN 'APPS USING ICLOUD' OPTION. THE TSYNC IS ON ALREADY BUT ALL MY INFORMATION IS GONE STILL. I LOGGED INTO THE ICLOUD AND MY NOTES ARE THERE BUT NOTE DO NOT APPEAR ON MY IPHONE,

I hit cancel aswell. Tried other things and two of my notes are still affected i.e. partially vanished. So by reading this, I am guessing the updated version of these two notes were stored locally. I don’t know why. After hitting the stupid new T&C’s everything vanished twice, the third time it pulled all my notes even from previous devices and notes that were recently created even after the two that were impacted. Just before I pressed that, I edited those two notes. My mobile was running low on storage at the time that it undone the changes I made. But still bizzare how everything else pulled up and no later version of my two notes came. They better fix this! Please keep me posted. I hope you get yours back too… I understand your frustration. It was a nightmare!

Same thing happened to me and I tried EVERYTHING the people mentioned to do, didn’t work. I even contacted Apple Support and they said they couldn’t get my notes back. I don’t know what to do, my notes were so important to me.

After the updated most of my notes are gone. What's left are only some parts of notes, and now they are divided by year. I had some notes that i have added to for over 5 years and now some parts are missing and the remainder are divide into separate notes by year.

I tried going to notes on icloud and turning off then back on the sync notes with this device, then waited...nothing. I turned the device off then back on, but that didn't work. If anyone has. solution for how to I may recover my notes I would be "eternally" grateful.

Mine are gone. I’ve tried the tips here and still gone. I had left a marriage where I was gaslit and would keep journals of different happenings soon after the events so I could go back and see I’m not crazy. I’d write or take photos and store them in my notes. All of it gone. Some cute sayings my kids would say, or poems I’d write and share with no one. It was basically my journal and loved being able to go back and see how far we’ve come… all of it gone. 😭

Update! I worked on this last night and it didn’t work. Mentally prepared myself they would never come back… checked this morning and they’re all back! Give “if I’m not back in 5 minutes, just wait longer.” Vibes. 😂

update - powered off and on after the two suggested steps. got my notes back on iPh!

did not work. still without notes on iPh 11 pro. They are on the web though, and still synced with my macbook pro.

Hello, i also have the same issue. My payment for icloud backup was late and i didn’t realized it so i took notes as usual. After i had paid my icloud backup and followed all the helpful suggestions here, my “icloud backup notes” can be restored. But the notes that I had been taken before I paid the icloud couldn’t be found anywhere 😭. Does anybody know how to restore this kind of notes? Thank you

Same here, I've posted on another thread. I've tried everything ( I believe ). I believe my notes' were linked to one of like my 6 email address's, but, the notes are all turned on' for these...Had really important notes I relied on. Anyone have luck besides what Apple's advice was to do, which didn't work for me. ? Thx.

Same thing happened to me but only after the latest iPhone update 26 November 2024. STRANGELY - Notes still worked perfectly on my iMac. So it's obvious that the iPhone update was the culprit. Heads should roll.
