Ipad with ios 18.1 card reader not working

My ipad air 13 inch is running ios 18.1, i have recently tried to read my memory card from my dji drone an di get a pop up message that, cannot use accessory this accessory uses to much power.


Does anyone have a fix for this or will i have to buy an apple reader instead

You appear to have a third-party Adapter - the performance of which cannot be guaranteed.


Assuming that you are using an SD Card, consider using an Apple USB-C to SD Card Reader:

Alternatively, as a more flexible option, you might use a USB-C hub that incorporates both a USB-C pass-through power connection (to which you connect your USB-C Power Adapter used to charge your iPad) and a card reader. By example:


  • Satechi Multiport Pro Adapter V2
