help, model laptop apple for gaming

For one, I honestly would not recommend you get a Mac specifically for gaming, as game support for the Mac, especially on Apple silicon chips, are spotty, in which if something is supported, it is not always optimized very well. I would recommend you get a PC or a good Laptop, that has good specs for running most games, so that way you get the best optimization and support.

If you need to have a mac though, I personally would recommend a M2 MacBook Pro (non touch-bar) or later, as these should have the power to be able to handle most games. I would avoid getting a MacBook Air unless you are only planning to do light gaming, as these laptops don't have fans, and may throttle under tough loads. Before looking into getting one though, research the games you are planning to play on it, and make sure they will run well/are supported on Apple Silicon Macs. Still really would not recommend one of theses machines for gaming use, as theses machines are better suited for Work and School, and are really good only for someone who really doesn't play a lot of games.
