Garageband and Scarlett 2i4 audio interface

Since exporting a file from zoom H4 essential, to garageband... my input drivers changed from "Scarlett 2i4" to Zoom. My internal speakers stopped playing the recording. I went to "settings" and changed from Scarlett to "system settings". The internal speakers work, but now I'm getting a lag when recording..? I've used this set up 4 years with no trouble; until I used that zoom recorder;~( Help?

Thanks for that input Keith. I would presume Zoom installed it's drivers when I exported the audio file to garageband. I'm an old analog musician and not that computer literate;~) But the recording input settings, changed from Scarlett 2i4 to Zoom. Per my suggestion from a Mac advisor call, I changed my garageband settings from "Scarlett" to "System" settings... Now my internal speakers work, but my recording (into the Scarlett interface) is slightly out of sync. I have a 3.5 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 2019 iMac... I haven't operated in safe mode; where would I look for any Zoom drivers? I tried uninstalling Garageband, and reinstalling: thinking this might re-set and solve things... but nothing new. I appreciate your time and opinion sir.
