How to use spanish accents on an AZERTY keyboard?

When I type Spanish letters like “á,” I have to press and hold the “a” button to display it with its respective accent. Is there a shortcut for this?

How do I add accent marks to capitalized vowels on a Spanish keyboard in macOS? I've added Spanish as in input for the keyboard on my macbook, but I can't get the accent for vowels to work for capitalized letters. Watched a video, it used the SHIFT/VOWEL/QUOTATION keys but rather than an accent I get two dots above the vowel. Can someone provide the correct key combination? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Why does ì not appear on the selection of accents of Swiss German keyboard? I have a Swiss German keyboard, and when I press i for a long time, I only get options î and í. I need ì much more often, and there is no reason why this shouldn't be included in the options. Why is this so? Or perhaps more importantly: Is there an easy way to add it?
