Notes disappeared after update on iPhone

I was notified to update my software and after that all my notes disappeared. I went to iStore and they told met to sign out of icloud, and then sign in again. You need to know your Apple password. (The one you use when you download a new app from the app store)

just a nite, you cant sign out of your icloud at any place other than your home or the place where your phone normally is. It also takes an hour before it allows you to sign out, as a security measure. Once I signed out and signed back in. all my notes were downloaded again🙏🙏🙏

For me the default account for notes had changed after the security update this week. When I changed it back to iCloud the notes started loading again.

Bit of a pain though, Apple, and could have done without the panic of them being gone.

My Notes are missing after agreeing to the update on new iCloud terms a few minutes ago. Surely there's a better solution than the one daleth240 describes. As with most everyone else, Notes are critical

For me, AdamsiThings solution was quick and easy! Thanks to him. One precaution...be sure you don't hit "delete." Hit "Cancel after a few seconds and your notes will begin syncing back to your phone.

Just went thru the same thing tonight. I shut my phone off for 5 minutes and all of my missing notes came back. Give that a try.
