Apple Watch Series 8 is not displaying notifications

My Apple Watch (Series 8 GPS) is vibrating on my wrist but not displaying notifications. Please note I have tried the following:

1) Checked I am not in "Do Not Disturb" or "Theatre/Cinema" mode.

2) Turned the watch and the phone off and on again.

3) Checked all the notifications settings on the watch and in the watch app on my phone (iPhone 15Pro) and they are all set to full display mode.

4) Unpaired and re-paired my watch to my phone.

5) Checked all the software is up to date, and it is.

As far as I can tell I have been through every step I can find on the web so any suggestions would be most welcome. Is there anything I have missed?

Thanks

Since you've already tried several troubleshooting steps, here is something else you can try:

Check "Cover to Mute":

Open Settings on your watch > Sounds & Haptics. Make sure Cover to Mute is off.

Disable "Chimes" and "Taptic Time:

Settings > Accessibility > Turn off Chimes.

Settings > Clock > Turn off Taptic Time.

Reset Sync Data:

On your iPhone, open the Watch app. Go to General > Reset > Reset Sync Data.

You can also check for updates on both iPhone and Apple Watch.
