Google maps speedometer is inaccurate in Apple CarPlay

I am running Google Maps on my iPhone 13, and connect to Apple CarPlay when driving. The new speedometer feature in Google Maps is accurate on my phone, but is halved when displayed through CarPlay (I.e., I’m going 50 mph but the CarPlay display is 25 mph). Anyone have any idea how to correct this?

Why does CarPlay cut off after 5 minutes on iPhone? My car play used to work extremely well, but now it cuts off after maybe 5 minutes of use. I have reset CarPlay on my phone many times, as well as reconfigured it in setting on my car. What is going on? I get it to work nd an update for my phone happens and CarPlay no longer works.
