Stop persistant login requests from iTunes

Everytime I launch iTunes it pops up a window to log in... sometimes multiple times in a row. I never want to connect to the web with iTunes. I will only ever use it to play audio files resident on my computer. How do I stop iTunes from constantly trying to have me log-in ?

I use a Macbook Pro running OSX ver 10.13.6 and cannot upgrade to newer OS and still use my device.

It is currently running iTunes ver 12.8.3.1.
