Mac Pro 2009-2012 restore disks

Hi. I need to Restore my Mac Pro 5,1 to the Snow Leopard OS X 10.6.4 that it shipped with. Can’t find the 2 disks on eBay.

Might some empathetic person who owns these 2 discs be able to clone them for me onto DVD? I would gladly cover your expenses of up to $40, (of course this $40 would not include any payment for the actual software on the disks, which would be done as a courtesy from one user to another without creating a copyright issue).

My Mac Pro is a 2009 that has been flashed to a 5,1.

Thanks a million. PS - I’ve tried the internet archive.org 10.6.4 Mac Pro Restore Disk download but it doesn’t seem to work for me.

You are asking others to violate Apple's licensing agreement:

Incorrect. Apple's copyright explicitly prohibits what you're asking someone else to do.

End users do not own Apple's software. We are granted a license to use it, which can be transferred.

Keep looking for those discs on eBay. They do show up once in a while, and at a reasonable price. They can be sold legally. Snow Leopard has never been available to download, so any download sources are thereby fraudulent.

As you're probably aware I can find no original grey discs for the MacPro5,1 at present, but I'd keep looking for them. It's not easy because most eBay sellers have no idea what they're selling in general, tend to confuse the Mac Pro with the MacBook Pro... etc.

I understand your desire for those discs, and I would want them also. Knowledgeable sellers are hard to find, and you're a knowledgeable buyer. Getting the two to find one another is difficult. Depending on your specific need for those discs though, you might be able to get by with a retail Snow Leopard Install DVD. The eBay item 296802157222 is one example. Even if it's not what you want you might consider getting it anyway, while you continue your search.

The retail white disc is less than ideal because it won't include AHT, and may not include hardware drivers for that specific Mac. I don't have that particular model so I can't guarantee it will even work.

The best anyone could possibly do on this site is to obliquely refer you to a source since we can't exploit this site for even the slightest hint of advertising.
