Since updating to Sequoia, cannot use Anker card reader on MacBook Air 2022
The card reader is not recognised and thumbnail photos do not appear

When you plugged your SD card in the first time, did the Mac ask you if it was OK?
I've got to say-- I have an Anker USB-c hub that I have used with my MacAir for 3 years, and it just stopped working a few months ago. The other connections on the hub continued to work, more or less, but the SD card reader just crashed. This was not connected with Mac software. I bought another card reader, and it was fine. So I'd be suspicious of the reader. You should try it on another computer, if you can.
