Auto dimming on iPad Pro 13" will not turn off.

My iPad keeps auto dimming. I have;

Turned it off on accessibility/Display & Text Size/auto-Brightness
Turned off 'Magnifier' hidden in some deep, dark corner of settings
Turned off True Tone in the 'Brightness' section of 'Display and Settings'.
Turned off 'Low Battery mode'

I've followed every instruction I can find o the internet and still it constantly auto-dims with the changing light outside. It is a serious problem for me as I have an eye condition and I have to keep a stabilized light setting. The constant dimming and brightening causes prolonged periods of time that my eyes need to adjust in order to see the screen. PLEASE - CAN ANYONE HELP?

Your iPad Pro, with FaceID, likely has its Attention Aware features enabled...

Settings > FaceID & Passcode > Attention-Aware Features - set to OFF

When set to ON - the iPad will automatically dim the display when you are not actively looking directly at the screen - the timeout period being determined by the Auto-Lock setting (Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto Lock).
