garageband keeps asking for old midi interfaces

Hi.

I'm on 14.6.1 and have a problem with Garageband. When I open old files it asks for long gone interfaces (5 years plus) with the dialog: "Instrument “Port 1” sends to a MIDI port named “Port 1” of MIDI interface “ESI M8U XL” which no longer exists." Sometimes it asks for other long gone interfaces (10 years plus!), depending on the file that is opened. AMS has no reference to these interfaces and no other DAW sees them. I've re installed GB and looked inside user/Library/Audio and /Library/Audio for obvious midi drivers, but I'm no expert so could have missed something.

These interfaces have obviously never been connected to this Mac and I only ever record audio, I used MIDI in GB maybe twice, ever. I can't see any references to these interfaces anywhere in GB, audio/MIDI is set to my current gear, Line6 Helix or Behringer X32.

Tried this in Terminal too: defaults delete com.apple.garageband10

Still no luck.

Any tips? Thanks.
