Apple Watch Auto Unlock Not Working on iMac or Macbook

Recently after Sequoia 15.1 update to both my iMac and MacBook, the auto unlock via Apple watch series 8 is NOT working. I can still use Touch ID or password. I have restarted both iMac & MacBook several times. I closed open apps before re-starting. Anyone else having this issue and, if so, what steps did you take/try to correct problem?

Have done all of this & had discussions with ... wait for it... 4 Apple Reps(two chats & two live calls with last being level 4 if not mistaken). The last discussion was shut down all apps, restart devices & try again. Worked initially & now, a day or two later same situation... I can't be only person with this issue!

This happened to me just now. I was able to restore this functionality, which breaks all the time by the way, by doing all the following: turn off the "unlock with watch" feature on the computer, turn off "unlock with iphone" in the Watch app on iOS, then reboot the watch, phone and mac and turn on those features again. Now it works. After that, the next step would be to un-pair then re-pair the watch. That takes a while so I'm glad I didn't have to do that.
