What to do if an Apple Gift card says already redeemed?

I went to Smith’s in Rock Springs Wyoming purchased an Apple gift card for $50 got it home tried to redeem it and it had already been redeemed this is the second time has happened to me I bought one yesterday for $200 and the same thing happened but haven’t been able to figure out what’s going on or where it went or who got it so I really could use some help I’ve got $240 out there somewhere I’d like to get it to where it’s supposed to go get refunded so I could do something can you please help me
