Login to Passwords app from my work Laptop

Currently, I’m using a third-party app to manage my passwords, and I’m considering switching to the new Passwords app. However, I want to ensure it aligns with my current setup. I’ve been using the third-party passwords app on my work laptop, and I can access my passwords only in Safari (not Chrome) on that device. Is it possible to achieve the same functionality using the Apple Passwords app? I’m currently logged in to the work laptop using my work Apple ID.

Thanks in advance.

I’ve re-read your posting several times, and am unsure what you are asking.

Could you explain a little more, including about how you’re logging into your work Mac or work PC?

The Passwords app can be used to access passwords, passkeys, and other related details.

Details on the Passwords app are linked below.

iCloud Keychain is a separate password synchronization mechanism.

iCloud Keychain allows your passwords to be synced across all Apple devices logged into the same Apple Account.

The latter link has some details on using iCloud Keychain with a Windows PC, as well.

Sure. Let me explain a bit.

I have two laptops and each one of them is using a separate apple id, one for personal one and one for work.

Can i see the passwords on my personal apple id on my work laptop (which is using another apple id?)

or in another way, can I see use the Passwords app with another apple id that I login into the mac os with?
