Notes disappeared on iphone 13 Pro

I use my notes all the time and have important information. I just went to put something in my notes, and they have all disappeared. I restarted my phone, but still no notes. I went into settings under "notes," and for some reason, "on my iPhone"was turned off. I turned it back on, but still nothing. I deleted images even though I paid for extra storage. Still nothing. I am sick about this. Please help.
