Broken voicemail after iOS 18.1 update on iPhone 15 Pro Max

Hello, I upgraded to 18.1 last night and today I tried to call my voicemail. I have received numerous different messages when I connected not to VM but a voice saying anything but my supposed message I dialled in for . Also when dialling in my phone showed me a contact in my phone book I was calling. I for example dialled 333 for Voicemail and the phone dialled one of my phone book contacts?!? Bizzare ? I’m assuming this is iOS related?!?

Any thoughts?! Should I wait for an update? I am so wanting to erase and replace with iOS 17. Can’t do that at the moment. Just sit and wait ??

muxh appreciated

Thank you for your reply. I rang the carrier and they explained I needed a new pin. I explained I could not enter the pin because the phone was ringing a number from my iPhone phone book ?! It was not going to voicemail. I’m starting to think my phone has been hacked ? From an opense.io link I clicked on. Later when trying to log into opensea via my digital wallet safari gave numerous warnings about unsafe pages. I never was able to access my wallet, thank goodness. I feel I may have unwittingly installed something.

Trying to access my wallet makes sense.

So plausible that I messed up. Sorry for the digression, I felt it necessary to explain that part too.

Many thanks
