No, you cannot order it from china and have it shipped to Canada. You would need to buy it directly in China, Hong Kong or Macao and ship it to a local address there. No International shipments from Apple.

Depends on what you mean by "Dual SIM card".

All iPhone 16s support 2 active SIM cards whether its 1 physical sim card and 1 eSim, 2 physical SIM cards and no esims, or 2 esims and no physical SIM cards will depend on the region the device is meant for.

In Canada, the iPhone 16 supports up to 8 esims and 1 physical SIM card. 2 esims, or 1 esim and 1 physical sim can be active at the same time.

There is no option to purchase an iPhone with support for 2 physical sim cards in Canada however.

iPhones often have several different variants – with somewhat different cellular and Wi-Fi frequency coverage, depending on which market Apple intends to sell the phone in.

There is a lot of overlap, often enough that you can use a phone designed for one country or region in another.

However, sometimes there is a problem. IIRC, one of the big carriers in Australia has a 4G network which relies heavily on FDD-LTE band 28. There are some models of iPhones where the variant sold for Australia supported that band – and the variant sold for the U.S. didn't. When that carrier turned off 3G service, customers with the U.S. variant of the phone didn't have a good way to connect to that carrier's network any more.

I'm not familiar with which cellular bands Canadian carriers use, or which ones iPhones intended for China, Hong Kong, and Macau support. So I couldn't tell you offhand if differences in cellular band coverage would be a minor issue, a non-issue, or a deal-breaker.

Models sold in Canada will have an eSIM, and one Nano SIM slot.

Units Apple sells there will have one physical SIM card slot and eSIM support. Models with two slots aren't available outside of China, Hong Kong, and Macao.

To pull out a detail from the above replies, and commonly encountered: dual SIM iPhone models do not support eSIM, and eSIM cannot be retrofit.

You can only buy a dual physical SIM phone in China, Hong Kong, and Macau. Apple will not ship it to Canada. You'd need to have someone buy it for you and ship it to you.

Buying a phone outside the country in which you live means your warranty coverage will be seriously limited as Canadian Apple Stores will not be able to replace your phone. Also, the Chinese version of the iPhone has some limitations built in at the behest of the Chinese government. Even when Apple Intelligence comes to Canada, a phone bought in China may well not work with it. You should also check with your carrier to make sure that the phone will even work on their network.
