Update changed some things I used daily

When I updated my phone, I can no longer swipe the top corner of my screen to change various settings without opening my phone. Now you have to put in your password and open your phone to do that, it's so inconvenient! I would also use all the various settings all day long. Please return it's capability to swipe while unlocked!!! Is there a setting that I can do that please????

Please follow this path,

iPhone > Settings > Face ID & Passcode > enter passcode > scroll down > Allow Access When Locked > Control Center > enable (green showing), if enabled, momentarily switch off and then re-enable.

I don’t want that. If you’re Iphone gets stolen, then the thief can simply swipe down and access control center, without your face ID or passcode.

Which means also they can put your phone in airplane mode and you can’t find it using find my devices.

In fact, the opposite happened for me. I enabled that setting to prevent this, and then with IOS 18, it disappeared. and I had to figure out how to reinstate it.

And also if you have a physical SIM, it can be removed. Face it if a thief wants to steal your phone, it is going to happen, they can also use Faraday bags to block all communications. If you battery dies, you will have no chance of using Find My.

The best use for Find My is if you lose you phone and you will have all the options to find it. The chances of getting your device back when it is stolen is next to none. Rest assured, your data will be safe and the thief will have no access due to Activation Lock, but the device is likely to end up in China. The true theft deterrent of Find My is the fact the device is not going to be usable to anyone, so the value is $0.
