Email threat with personal information on iPhone 13

I received an email that had some of my personal information included.

The email said that there was a malware on a website and it was used to make my phone a remote device and if I did not pay there would be consequences of which I wish not discuss here.

Is there a way to verify this? If it helps, I am planning on upgrading my phone from an Iphone 13 to Iphone 16.

I would like to get this taken care of and would appreciate any help

Total Scam. Delete it. Don't respond to it. You don't have malware and they can't do what they suggest they can. But they are hoping you are gullible enough to believe them and pay their ransom. Don't fall for it.

It is a scam! Many people receive the same email that claims your device has been hacked and the most common one says it was done with pegasus software. The only personal information they have is what is available on the internet. The email you received just gathered this information and is now trying to threaten you with additional actions to scare you. These are fake threats and all you need to do is delete the email and move on with your day.
