Can I use the latest Magic Trackpad with macOS 14.6.1?

And yes, a quick google search offers reports of issues with these devices on macOS versions older than Sequoia 15.1 even.

I guess, we'll need to wait and see if Apple adds support for older macOS versions, or if there is some other solution to the issues with the new USB-C accessories.

No technical reason. That Magic Trackpad was released in 2015, so it worked and still works with macOS 14 just fine.

Yes, this is ridiculous from Apple. I have been waiting for the Usb-c version and was shocked to find it does not work on 14.x. I will have to get for a refund and buy a different brand as I don't know when the security team will enable 15.x. (current has some security issues)

I wouldn't assume that. The current Magic Trackpad (USB-C) was introduced in October 2024, not 2015.

We have users at work that are reporting issues with the USB-C Magic Mouse on Sonoma. The semi-good news is work is slowly allowing users to upgrade to Sequoia, but not all at once, as they are afraid it will overwhelm the IT department with trouble reports.

Not as many company user get the Magic Trackpad (I don't know why, as it is really a great device on the desk).
